The Mondeo failed inspection on too little e-brake holding power(240kg instead of 320kg), and a dust boot on the outer CV joint(knew that one since it keeps crawling off the outer cup), and dust boot on lower ball joint, opposite side of the CV joint ofcourse. The e-brake? Probably just new pads, cooked the ones currently on it several times before i figured out why it would stick on/not release fully.
I have another CV joint boot, but i’m not digging the idea of replacing a lower ball joint(3 rivets to drill out), so probably gonna rummage through the old parts and see if an escort one fits on the balljoint.
The car in the pic? Ford Orion/Escort Mk5. I keep returning to that pic, wanting one badly, but they’re rare. Really dig the small Sierra looks of it however.

Yes, very. Car has never seen rust-protection since new(2002) so everything is nice and crusty and i kinda dread undoing those bolts. That and i’m lazy and want to keep the work down.

I miss the old Ford Orion. It was just an Escort with a larger boot.
How about this 1993 white Ford Orion 1.6 Eq uipe Limited Edition, 66,000 miles, £2,995.
It’s a few miles south east of Manchester.

Haha nice, somebody did the 2-tone with the black bumpers i considered aswell! Sadly everything’s on the wrong side of the transmission tunnel to be useful over here, but very nice looking example!
